Window 7 loses activation when using S3 sleep

    Hi there,

    Hope you can help me. I have a Gigabyte GA965Gm-Ds2 mother. Everytime I put Windows 7 to sleep it needs to reactivated and the days are counting down. Do this have something to do with my bios and if so how do I fix this?

    Try setting bios settings to default or optimized default.

    A lot of gigabyte boards have done this - ie appear not activated after waking from sleep - usually fixed at reboot.

    I think this only happens with loaders.

    There is a thread about this somewhere here and you can search for it OR - simply don't let your computer sleep.

    I had this problem with an old vistaloader. I corrected it by using a different system type. IE I have a Dell and selected ASUS as SLIC type in the loader. I corrected the problemed permanently by using the current Daz 1.7.7 loader.

    happens because the bios overwrites the slic coming out of sleep. try a different bios mod.

    My gigabyte board doesnt have that problem. Hoever some loaders do have that problem (vista loader v2 and v3)

    There was a specific BIOS method developed to overcome this issue with Gigabyte boards. I think it's one of the super static methods. Best check in the BIOS forum.

    Thanks Oneextraid. I tried Daz 1.7.7 and it seems to be working.
