I am trying to get the installation CD to give me the option of selecting which version to install. The problem is that no matter what I put in the ei.cfg, it always defaults to Home edition. I even tried forcing it to Proessional with: [EditionID] Professional But that didn't help. Any ideas? I want it to fit on a single-layer DVD. Thanks
Ok, I'm going to give this ISO a try, maybe it'll work: en_windows_10_multiple_editions_version_1511_x64_dvd_7223712.iso
Option 1: Export image 1 of Multiple-edition, and use this single-image install.wim for the ISO Option 2: Create a single-image ISO from single-image ESD with esd-decrypter
The Singlelanguage iso contains just one index and it's: Code: Details for image : E:\Win10_1511_SingleLang_English_x32\sources\install.wim Index : 1 Name : Windows 10 Single Language Technical Preview Description : Windows 10 Single Language Technical Preview Size : 9.449.969.283 bytes The operation completed successfully. FLAG: CoreSingleLanguage Even when you create an AiO iso and boot from it, it will give you all choices without the use of an ei.cfg (just skip the key questions). But there is just one exception: if there is an oemm bioskey for another version than the one you want to install, then and only then, a ei.cfg or pid.txt is neccessary.
Ok, this version solved my problem. It lets you choose between Pro and Home when you tell the Installer that you don't have a key, and it is under 4GB so it fits on a single-layer DVD. And activation with it worked perfectly using the GenuineCertificate.xml method.
That is because the Multiple Editions contains Home AND Pro, coresinglelanguage doesn't As i tried to explain in my previous reply
