Hi, i have HP AE132TX, I7 laptop, and the machine was working fine till last week, suddenly it has started showing BSOD, i am unable to troubleshoot whats the matter, So far i have tried, 1) Clean installation of windows 10 2) Updating all the drivers and firmwares and bios 3) SFC /Scannow 4) Chkdsk Although i sucessfully pulled the dump from BSOD, multiple times but its kinda hard for me to pinpoint the exact problem, so i would really appreciate your input, I would be really thankful for your help. I have attached three BSOD dump files in order to get idea whats causing BSOD.
Your threadtitle says 16299.192 BSOD, in the post itself you don't mention when it happens. Does it happen when clean install 16299.15, 16299.64 or 16299.125? Does it happen when you directly install 16299.214 (16299.15/64/125 + current CU)?
Its been happening since a week so i guess the version should be 16299.125 >. I am currently on build 16299.192.
Did you get a bios patch for meltdown/spectre? If so, install the repair update for that, you can find it in the Hotfix Thread.
No i don't think i have installed the repair updates, i will definitely look into it and will let you know Thanks Man
YES you should Jason is a Win 10 Team member helping to develop Win 10. at Microsoft. One of the things he does is Error Codes. Do you know any of the Win 10 Team members ?
I know a lot of great helpers here but i don't know if they are part of win10 Team members, you need to know that i am member here less than a year ago so i haven't had the time to know all members yet.
Actually there are two more things i forgot to mention, they might not be related but my laptop has HD Graphics 520 on board card and the driver on HP website is like 2 years old, and it doesn't matter how many times i upgrade the driver from intel website, widnows update just keep reverting the driver to older version same as given on hp support website which is two years old, although i have blocked the drivers update through windows 10 update, but do you guys think it might have something to do with it??? Secondly it has realtek HD audio drivers and only drivers on hp support website works properly, when windows update push new version of realtek, the sound only works on handfree, when you take out handfree from port, speakers doesn't work, i don't know i have tried every solution but speakers doesn't work with new drivers that are pushed through windows update, but handfree works just with the updated drivers
do you have "Zone Alarm" installed on your machine ? if so, uninstall it, it could be the origin of your BSOD according to the error code as i saw that it was the cause of BSOD in many cases after doing some research on the net. also do you have more than one anti-virus installed on your machine ? if so, the BSOD could come from that as it is not recommanded to install many anti-virus on a machine. One is enough.
