Hi I have been able to install this build only by disabling the onboard LAN. Have tried both x64 and x86 builds but still get a BSOD at the point where the network is being set up during install. So hence the disabling of the network before installing. My LAN is Intel 82583V
I have the same problem. My LAN is Intel 82583V. I am using a Asus Crosshair V motherboard with AMD CPU and 8 Gigs of Ram. Only way I can install Windows 10 9926 x64 on my system is by disconnecting the Internet, otherwise it will not install. Just keeps rebooting with the same error as MORRISMAN is getting. Googling has not produced any results.
My BIOS is the latest but my board is a couple of years old and no new BIOS versions have been up and coming. I have not had any problems with earlier builds of the Technical Preview, all has been fine. I even tried installing through the upgrade route to see if this had any effect. What I did find was that the same thing happened but the BSOD screen looked like a graphics problem ( lines and pixelated) but was still due to the LAN. Hopefully MS will fix this before the final build.
For my situation it definitely was the LAN Disconnected the Internet and Windows 10 9926 x64 installed fine. Before connecting to the Internet I installed the LAN driver that came with the motherboard CD and now everything is fine. Windows 10 9926 runs great.
I also have the Crosshair V and have had success now using the Motherboard CD solution to get the LAN driver. I booted into safe mode ,disabled the LAN then rebooted to install the driver from the disc. All up and running now thanks Thanks winwatcher
Out of curiosity: Did you created an USB Stick using Rufus for the new build? If so, do the same again just use MS ow Windows 7 USB/DVD Tool for to do that! Pls. let us know, thanks.
I used the MS WIN 7 USB/DVD tool. I still marvel at the speed of an install using a USB 3 device when comparing it to the days when you would use a CD to install Windows 98 !
