Recently installed windows 10 pro on my machine and got a key for it off eBay. I punched in the key with windows and it activated I'm just wondering if the activation is now linked to the motherboard like the free upgrade was or will I have to save the key?
I too have purchased such a key (WINDOWS 10 PRO / PROFESSIONAL 32 64BIT GENUINE OEM LICENSE KEY) My pc came with Win 10 home licence. Is it possible to to do the 2 stage activation by entering the generic key first and then entering the key I have purchased??
Hi! I also purchased a key of windows 10 enterprise on e-bay. Firsts activation was succesful and Windows was digitally entitled. When I reinstall the OS again, I enter this same key (after the system is installed) and Windows is reactivated again. I've done this 4 times and I've never had a problem.
Just by entering a key or did you have to do some workaround? What was the key description when you bought it?
Each time, I install the OS, then I enter the key via the interface and activation is done via Internet... So far everything works! And, I remember, buying the license of Windows 10 Enterprise in 2016, online, from a US reseller for $ 75.
Not that way, no key needs to be installed at first, Home version will be installed, then enter Pro key.
