I tried to do a Windows Update and... this happens... Keeps loading for hours and nothing happens. I don't have Windows Update disabled under services.msc.
If I can't perform a Windows Update, how will I be able to get bug fixes, security updates, etc? More importantly, why do people want to disable Windows 10 update?
Temporarily stop the windows update service, move all files in the \windows\softwaredistribution\download folder to a temp folder, and start the windows update service and try again. That's always fixed it for me. Well, not always but most of the time. If you delete the files you moved and don't put them back you won't be able to uninstall those updates. But me, I always just delete the files.
Thanks for trying but it didn't help. Is there a way to download updates manually similar to how you can with the windows download updater?
Did you open an elevated command prompt, and type sfc /scannow to see if there are corrupted system files? Last time i did that, and it works!
Did you use a win10 spy tool to stop the spying? Most (not all) of the tools out there disable that service is why I ask. I don't include that in the multi oem project because updates are important. Looks like either the service is disabled or domain name in hosts file....it does the same as in your pic, if this is the cause.
