Hello, After doing a clean install of Build 1607. My PC runs perfectly when it boots into desktop. When turning on the machine and when it gets to windows logo it sits there for couple of minutes before it boots into windows. It does it with clean install of build 1511 and 1607. But with built 10240 it boots up very fast. Any ideas or suggestions?
Does fast boot get turned off in a clean install and even if it did would it make that much of a difference?
Fast boot is enabled. I can try disabling it and seeing if it helps. Also installing RST drivers might help not sure.
With a clean installation, i turn off hibernation completely powercfg -h off. In the BIOS fast boot is enabled by default i never turned it off. Its only happening with build 1511 and 1607. First build and previous OS's i never had any issues. Seems to be with Windows 10.
But why? Does it not work properly for you? In my experience on systems without an SSD it does make an appreciable difference in cutting the boot time. @cooler89: Which graphics solution and driver version do you have? Also, have you tried unplugging all peripherals except your KB and mouse?
