How is the compatibility of Win 10 for running older apps, meant for Win 7 and earlier. I have a 3D CAD software licensed which the company had said would not be compatible with Win8, hence I had put Win7 Pro when I recently purchased a laptop. Is Win10 better than Win8 in compatibility? I installed Win10 10147 in VirtualBox and it seems very good. Most of the apps I need ran without problem. One had to run in Compatibility mode but then it worked. Only this 3D software installed but does not start, even in compatibility mode. Is there a problem with install or compatibility?
Could be releated to crapy VM 3d acceleration You don't now until you are on real hardware and yes the compatibility is quite fair @ the moment in windows 10
