Can anyone confirm Daz Loader is giving people permanent activation through the July 29 update? I've read conflicting reports .
It will, but you must upgrade Windows 7 to the correct vershion of Windows 10. Example Win 7 Ultimate/Pro = Windows 10 pro... Dont get trying to upgrade say Windows 7 Home to Windows 10 pro it won't work. Once update is finished and you are activated just fresh install Windows 10 for a fully legit system without a loader The most common thing i have seen people doing wrong is having Windows 7 Home Premium activated via Daz loader then trying to upgrade to Windows 10 pro... It just won't work you need to upgrade to same ver you will get via windows update.
There's no evidence that it's not the case. It's currently giving permanent activation through the upgrade process. There is only speculation to suggest that they'd stop doing it. MS has been pretty vague about piracy upgrades.
Windows 7 Pro VL or Retail? es_windows_7_professional_with_sp1_x64_dvd_u_676947.iso es_windows_7_professional_with_sp1_vl_build_x64_dvd_u_677798.iso
Evidence suggests that if it passes the genuine test at microsoft.com/genuine/validate.aspx that it will be fine for the upgrade program. WinLoader currently fools that program, so it's likely to work for everyone.
ALL WITH DOUBTS: Go with Daz' recommendation and wait for the info that will roll in in several hours from now . There are enough battle-hardened guinea pigs who will test and squeak rapport.
I wonder how much historical data is available after the upgrade? I installed 7 w/SP1, DAZ, and then upgraded to 10 all without a network connection. Once in 10, I connected and activated. I wonder if it is possible to patch the WIM to make it look like an upgrade, kind of like what was done with Media Center.
It might be but we don't know exactly when or how they record the hardware into their activation servers, so it's likely not a simple mod like the prowmc generic keys were. Edit: I'd also like to add that abusing the upgrade process would be more likely to make MS shut it down, so I'm not particularly keen on trying it.
We've found that kms activation works as well, as long as it passes the activation test. It can't be enterprise, tho. I'm sure there are a lot of other versions that don't work for this upgrade (automotive, etc) but normal win7pro or win8pro using kms activator seems to work fine for generating a legit upgrade.
Heh, that's just because it uses volume channel. If you clean install after that it uses default retail key and eula.
MS Server will still have record of the MAK bound to that HWID, equal what one does afterwards ... MS isn't THAT stupid i guess.
I am using Windows 10 insider on an spare separate testing HDD and I wonder will I get final copy on 29 july? The .iso was downloaded from official MS website and there was no other OS on HDD b4 tht - it was a clean install.
Indeed. I bet they know everyone who uses winloader to upgrade as well. They seem to permit. Guess they really want that billion.
