Hi Guys, I am looking for a way to deploy windows 10 on multiple machines. Is there a way to do it all at the same time? Which would be the easiest way to do it and what are the steps necessary to do it? Any help is greatly appreciated.
You can install it one one system, create a full systemdisk backup and if the backup software has a "deploy to other hardware" option, you could do that. Or you could install it in audit mode, do your thing and sysprep/generalize it, then create a backup and deploy it to all hardware.
Enthou, Thx for options. Could you recommend backup software that has this option plz? I will google it as well. TYVM
I believe macrium reflect has that option, i use the one from the winpese projects: https://forums.mydigitallife.net/threads/winpe-user-friendly-pe-builders.78922/ https://forums.mydigitallife.net/threads/chrispe-a-pebakery-team-release.76569/
Enthou, I am using this option above and I am following this video ... youtube[dot]com/watch?v=rBg6R28QeNc Everything worked fine until i got to the point at 5:46 of the video i get this C:\Program Files (x86)\Windows Kits\10\Assessment and Deployment Kit\Deployment Tools>copype amd64 c:\WinPE_amd64 'copype' is not recognized as an internal or external command, operable program or batch file. As seen here What am I doing wrong?
I'm using MDT to create a golden image with basic software and add that to MDT and deploy it over LAN/PXE to all computers. Its fairly easy to setup. Azure does the same but from the cloud
Not really, its more like using cloning software, you will end up with all the software and tweaks already in place, with my script you just plug in a thumbdrive, let pc boot from it and the script will auto format and apply the images neeeded, even boot from lan and let it automatically install the images.
So you can just as easily use cloning software as i described. ps, i don't know if your scripts allow to create a specific use profile for every time it's ran on the different hardware, with cloning software that would only be possible if the clone is made from a audit/syprepped/captured install.wim.
Using a custom script the sky is the limit, you can easily put a "net user %usernamevariable% /add" command to add a user on first boot, I use a autounnatend.xml generator so it join a domain on install, install office, basic set of apps, etc etc
