So the 2018 LTSB/LTSC will have Microsoft Edge?

No, LTSC 2018 will not have Edge, as stated in the first post of this thread.

I can't understand why they don't put Edge in it. IE is really a pretty shabby browser which hasn't been developed in years. But, who am I to know?

Edge is an app that won't run. The Settings app is an app that runs just fine. This is proof that there's no reason msft can't run Edge on LTSC.

Seriously doubt that the audience that runs LTSB gives a s**t about Edge, and remember that LTSB isn't supposed to be for a daily driver OS anyway.

Actually LTSB is meant for production environments where any downtimes/problems due to Feature Upgrades would cost fortunes. It's the perfect daily driver but not meant to be used by the wide public (even Enterprise/Education/ProWork versions aren't available by MS for the public). But who cares ... :cool2:.

It runs on LTSB. Needs the WinSxs Browser package from 1607 Pro/Ent install/ISO to be installed (TI elevation required).
    Code:
    Microsoft-Windows-Internet-Browser-Package-amd64-10.0.14393.0.cab
    Microsoft-Windows-Internet-Browser-Package-amd64-10.0.14393.0-xx-XX.cab

    xx-XX being the system language

    maybe but for how long?

I'm happy that I'm running an LTSB/LTSC version of Win10 minus Edge :D

the next LTSB/LTSC release from MS could be either 1809 or 1903

Possible to go from 14393 Pro to 2016 LTSB. Needs changes in HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion, EditionID and CompositionEditionID should show EnterpriseS and ProductName should be set to Windows 10 Enterprise 2016 LTSB. Then in-place-upgrade to LTSB via mounted LTSB ISO.
