    Hello

I have a laptop which Im using for home and work. I will like to separate it. I dont want to have access to some software or files when Im in "home" mode or vice versa. Some software is always running in the background which is not necessary when Im using laptop for home stuff or work. Right now I have two partitions, one for work and one for home stuff but jumping in between of them is pain in the ass and taking too much time, especially if I have to do this few times per day. Updating windows or software every time on both partitions is not very good solution too. Is there any different way to do it? Im not sure creating two windows accounts will create enough separations. Maybe Im missing something. Any solutions are welcome. Thanks

Of course, you don't need to install Windows twice. Two partitions is a good, but obviously not a very good solution. Minimum should be at least 3, better 4. Why - think yourself or use search. It's long story to teach everything in one topic and in one post.
    But that's a different story.
If you want to use your home and work items on the same computer separately, use two user accounts and everything is separate. One account doesn't confuse the other, and in both you can make choices about what works and what doesn't. However, if you have administrator rights on both accounts, you are free to select personal files from both accounts and do whatever you want with them.
However, you do not have to double-install or upgrade anything. You can specify what works for both accounts and what only works for one or the other. You also install Windows only once - it's common to both user accounts.

Thanks, I will look more to VHD booting. It looks like interesting solution. If you have more good links about this let me know, thanks.
