On the 5th I delivered a PC that I had refurbished running a clean install 1607 on a PNY CS1311 ssd.

The machine hung randomly with the ssd maxing out and I blamed the PNY as it was the first time I have used the brand. I changed it out for a Sandisk Ultra II and for the brief time I tested it appeared to resolve the issue. i would have tested for a longer period of time but the customer had already put up with me chanting " That's not right " for a couple of hours.

The internet is rife with the Anniversary freezing issue. I'm surprised it's so quiet here.

I had this freezing problem also on one of my W10 Ann + Cumulative update partitions.

I tweaked the power settings & left that partition & didn't test it.
It may come down to what, over at a link, over at lobo11's link he said:

I just left the above mentioned W10 OS sitting ide for 40 minutes & no bad results, hoping that my Power setting tweak (1) fixed the black screen I had & had to restart PC to recover.

Sunday when I had this happen & after restarting PC I checked my "power Options" / advanced power settings & all my earlier "never" choices were still there except the hard disk/ turn off; was reset to "0".
I changed that back to where I set all my Windows OS's to which is 20000 minutes.
Hopefully that is all it was.

I didn't have much luck with 14393 pro. It wasn't reliable when resuming from sleep (freezes/bsod), Edge will not close after applying .5 or .10 CU's, and xbox one controller drivers are buggy. Wasn't worth keeping it installed. 10586 is working perfectly. I'm waiting for the change log for tonight's CU.
