windows 10 gets activated by generic key

    Lately I noticed windows 10 gets activated on my test PC, I tested home and pro multiple times.

    Anyone noticed this?

    Is Microsoft making windows 10 free?

    Yes, that's normal since HWID/DL was introduced 4 years ago, once established on the hardware it will be activated by HWID on all future windows installs on the same hardware (Home (+N) and Pro (+N)).
