Cool, thank you, lobo11. WU MT even allows to run as service in the background, issuing update notifications. Should I or even do I have to disable the regular WU service for it so they do not interfere? cool.
hm, but if I don't disable the Microsoft WU Service, it might download & install updates BEFORE the WU MT service notifies me? Or does the WU MT service overwrite or automatically disable the Microsoft WU Service?
You can uninstall any updates that may have been installed with WUMT, then install the ones you wish, WUMT works with WU.. Let WUMT decide whats running or not.
You're going to have to change your mind about this if you want any control over updates. I use what's in my sig. Use whatever works for you.
You want to keep WU active and not use a 3rd party tool? That makes you decision pretty easy ... you're left with using WU. Or download and install them individually but that will take a looooong time.
