Hey all, I'm running Windows 10 Pro on a X99 platform with 32gb of memory. I've always used VMware workstation (on 12.1 now) to run some apps or do some testing in VM's so, now that Windows 10 has Hyper-V in the OS, I wanted to try to give it a shot to see if I can resolve some possible minor issues I have with VMware. So, today, I installed Hyper-V and setup a XP vm for a test of a old app/hardware, Then I ran VMware Workstation and was greeted with message "VMware workstation and Hyper-V are not compatible. Remove the Hyper-V role from the system before running VMware workstation" Is it possible that anyone as found to run them SIDE BY SIDE on a Windows 10 machine ? I googled around and all it's saying is "remove Hyper-V if you want to run VM workstation" On a side note, for VMs on a workstation does VMware or Hyper-V give better direct hardware access or performance over another ? It's a big deal to try to convert all my VM's over to Hyper-V if it's not that much better... Thanks ! MODS: Please delete this post, I ended up finding that it was already discussed on this site, I didn't find it on the first few searches I did. I would of deleted it myself but, I don't see an option.
Let's face it: those phrases are contradictory. You can not on the same machine and the same time. (SYDE BY SIDE).
No is not. First because you can still run X86 OSes on Vmware or virtualbox, even if HV is enabled. Second because the answer that David already got is that one "must uninstall" HV to run VMware. Which is false. That's all
Haha, now you switched the link. Ok. My last reply to your messages. Your'e definitely a troll, and I don't want to provide further food. Bye.
