HI FRIENDS WANT INSTALL WINDOWS 10 PRO X64 i have new 500GB DISC want make disc c 100GB disc d 400GB which number (MB) i must enter at this table before installation windows to part one disc into this 2 partitions 100 000MB and 400 000MB ? thx friends for help
100 000 x 1.024 (=102 400 (+ maybe 500 x 1.024 for the system partitions)) and what's left over as unallocated can become d. I would select more for c though.
to get a 100% 100 GB partition, remember, Windows needs another 566 MB for the system partitions, so do this: 100.1x1024 + 566 = 103070 MB why did I do 100.1 instead of simply 100 x 1024? because if you don't add that 0.1, Windows will show you the partition size as 0.99 GB instead of 100GB
I just did the same exact thing several days ago. The way I did it was: 100.6x1024= 103014 and that gave me a PERFECT 100gb OS partition C:, and a perfect 400gb D: the .6 represents the 560mb for the additional partitions windows creates. Like you, 100.1gb or 99.9 gb just irritated the hell out of me, and my eyes & mind couldn't rest until I got my perfect & even 100gb OS partition.
OK SO HOW I MUST PARTITIONED ? I WANT INSTALL NORMAL WINDOWS 10 PRO LATEST VERSION THAN I WANT ANOTHER DISC FOR GAMES LIKE GTA V DISHONORED 2 WOLFENSTEIN 2... SO I NEED I THINKS ON ANOTHER DISC MORE THAN 300GB
if your hard drive is 500GB then divide the number you got for total HDD size on 5, and then add the 560MB this way you will get the C drive 100 GB exactly
