Just upgraded another office laptop. It had Windows Home Premium 64 bit.
Upgraded it to Windows 10 Home 64 bit.
All done, went till last black revolving progress bar.
    After that, its completely blank.
Even if restarting 4-5 times, it shows same.
    Blank screen with monitor backlit.

    What could it be ?

After pressing CTRL for 20 seconds, the windows 10 desktop shows.
    But there is no cursor.
    No click is working.

assuming that the machine is fully functional you only can go to manufacturer's site and download all drivers for that machine, best it were W10 drivers but some older 7/8 drivers mostly go well.
A black screen sometimes indicates other problems which must be excluded prior to a nice setup. perhaps the bios is outdated or its setup is not working with new w10 etc. AV crap MUST be eliminated first etc.

ore the machine does not accept w10 by means of cpu too old or other limitation like ADM processor not dealing with windows any more or such

See what it does in safe mode. Try safe mode with networking. If you get to desktop install drivers from there.

Stop hovering to collapse... Click to collapse... Hover to expand... Click to expand...

I had a similar issue on a PC where some driver (I wasn't able to track it down because even safe mode didn't work) caused Windows to freeze for no reason after a few seconds/minutes. My workaround was to integrate all the OEM-specific drivers from 8.1 into the WIM file to bypass the inbox drivers. After a reinstall with that image, the issue was gone. I still suspect the video driver, but that doesn't explain why it froze even in safe mode.
