Any time I do a clean install of 10 some of my files on my external drive get marked as READ ONLY. And from what I can tell I cant add them to OR Run them for the life of me. For instance I downloaded a soundcard driver so I wouldn't have to keep downloading it. And when I click it I get the below message! So then it says im not the owner and that I cant reclaim it EVEN AS ADMINISTRATOR!!! Is this a freaking joke? Ive never had any problems moving files with 7 EVER. How to I go about fixing all my files?
Similar problem faced by me - Just take the ownership though security edit and then it will work. It is only happening while accessing some files on external drives after Windows 10 install.
@mabaega thanks so much the reg hack worked. Seriously tho this is some bulls**t. Is there anyway I can just turn ownership off for everything in the future?
