is there a free way i can add windows 10 on my MAC OS X el captain ? I prefer older windows but some one told me that there is a simple program i can install on MAC and then i can install windows 10 while keep my my OS also working . can any one help me in this please ?
You can use bootcamp to setup any windows in dual boot, or parallels, vmware, virtualbox... to use any X86 Operating system inside macos
For virtualization, you can try vmware fusion. For a real installation, run BootCamp from System Preference and follow the instructions. For running windows app directly, try CrossOver.
I use Oracle VirtualBox. Currently I have Windows XP, 7, 10 and Linux Mint 17.3 setup and running just fine on my late 2015 Mac under OS X 10.11.3 then 10.11.4 and now 10.11.5. Daz's loader worked flawlessly with VirtualBox.
Can anyone confirm if Daz loader works for activating win7 pro/ultimate installed under El Capitan 10.11.4 with Boot camp?? I read here somewhere that newer Bootcamp's window partition has some MBR related issue that Daz Loader has problem with. Appreciate any comments.
There is NO NEED for Daz loader for Win 7 under VB. Just load SLIC ACPI table in config. It is all that is needed And before you ask HOW? please do read the VB thread in Virtualizatiin section!
Or even simpler just boot the VM from a windslic media. It should work on any vitualization environment (it works also on native installations, but there booting from a DVD/Floppy makes the solution less practical)
Thanks for the reply. I don't want to go Virtual and not because of the how. This Mid2010 MBP needs to be running bootcamp and it will be shared by 2 individual (one will use OSX and one will use Win). So would Daz loader works to activate the bootcamp Win7??
All you do is use DAZ's Loader in Windows 7 Professional into BootCamp for mac, then once all devices driver loaded that comes with BootCamp from apple, then reboot into Windows 7 pro, then upgrade top of that.. then if necessary to reload driver, I don't think so.. and should be fine.. that will give you free WIN10 pro... But here the catch is end of July 29th is end of free Win 10!! Good luck!
It should. If it doesn't work just use the MS toolkit, But remember that the latter can't activate the ultimate version. So just install the Professional one.
