So everybody recommends me to use Performance mode under Energy options..

But i'm afraid that my components will use more power (Wattage) from the PSU..

Like is there really a benefit from using Performance mode vs Balanced mode?

and also can it shorten my lifespans from my components?

    I have a RM650X PSU..

    and Intel core i5 9400F, GTX 1060 (6GB), 16GB RAM, 1 Hard disk, and 1 Nvmm2 drive and 6 fans..

Any more help/answers to this question is welcome! Cheers :)

You can safely use Performance mode on your desktop without worrying about component wear with those specs.
Of course it's gonna be a bit more power consumption, but in exchange, routine tasks are gonna be more responsive.

Desktop or laptop, it's not the power consumption you have to worry about, but the heat.
If you know you're gonna run intensive tasks for hours and hours (for example competitive gaming),
you might want to use Balanced instead, because it's not just the tasks you run.
A s**tty update failing in a loop can be just as damaging on the long run, not allowing the system any "time to breathe".

I have friends that only ever used Performance mode, and after getting RTX 3000 / RX 6000 series laptops,
had to listen to reason and use Balanced profile to prevent it from getting too hot for touch despite screaming fans.
And the best part? they now average better framerates..

Best is to toggle Performance profile only when needed, and otherwise idle under Balanced.
    It's basic physics.

Not everybody. I advise you to use balanced and fine tune the plan to configure the disk to never stop.
If you don't have a reason to use CPU at 100% all the time, it will only shorten your mobo life.
You may consider tuning the bios or the balanced plan to keep only C0/C1 states and avoid deeper C states if you wish a bit more performance which is not destructive for your components.
