    Hi everyone -

I would like to encrypt my 2 Win 10 Pro systems with BitLocker, but I am concerned about the performance hit that I would be taking. Are there any metrics concerning this or maybe just some member experiences?

    Don't want a sluggish system.

    TIA! :)

Not sure on a mechanical HD but on SSD i dont think you will have any performance problems.

There is a noticeable performance impact on systems with slower CPUs, especially if they don't have the AES instruction set, because every read or write needs to be decripted/encripted. On a modern computer, expect a single digit performance difference.
If you can't have any performance loss, there are some SSDs with self encryption that don't cause any performance impact (but it's not "bitlocker")
