This is my first post here... Hello to all and here we go ================================== 1) Is it possible to make a backup of the license of Windows 10 Pro or a system image to be restored/transferred in case that the laptop/computer motherboard is damaged? I mean, the steps to be followed are these... MBR hardisk required. Install Windows 7 Pro(Oem or Retail) Service pack 1 -> Drivers -> Connect to internet, Use Windows Loader made by Daz or use your Geniune Windows 7 Retail Key or Oem which came preinstalled. a) As I understand, if you follow the Daz loader activation path then your Windows 10 Pro License will be also OEM? As if the license is OEM then that windows is tied/stitched to that particular hardware/laptop/hardware id. If the motherboard/videocard will burn, then you will require another license on the new laptop, right?.. b) If the Windows 10 Pro is upgraded and activated from a Windows 7 Pro/Ultimate which was activated with Daz Loader, then clean install and activated, Is it possible to transfer the Windows 10 Pro activated license to a new computer in the case the old one will be damaged or maybe stolen? c) What will happen if a Windows 10 Pro OEM activated system image, will be restored from a backup on another hardware (like a new laptop) by using Acronis Restore to dissimilar hardware, Paragon Adaptive Restore, Macrium Redeploy. ==================================================== 2) Is it possible to activate somehow Windows 8.1 Pro with the help of Windows 10 Pro? With a path like this to be followed: Install Win 7 Pro -> Upgrade to Win 10 Pro -> Downgrade to Windows 8.1 Pro. Which is the way to transfer the license by extracting Windows 10 Pro fresh install and activated license and insterting it or injecting it into a Windows 8.1 Pro fresh install (On the same hardware or maybe a different hardware)? Kindly, A Warm Thank You to All in advance for the feedback.

No point since activations are stored on MS Servers... a) If the motherboard/videocard will burn, then you will require another license on the new laptop, right?.. Thank you for information, glennsamuel32. Your answers cleared some of my thoughts. 1)No point since activations are stored on MS Servers... I don't really understand how the activation is stored on MS servers, as I assume that if I activate then go full offline, change the date in bios from year 2016 to 2999, and start up the system while still being offline the windows will remain activated, if it is OEM or Retail. And it will expire only if it would be an Volume License/Enterprise which requires KMS servers. But it's just a guess. 2)Install Win 7 Pro -> Upgrade to Win 10 Pro -> Downgrade to Windows 8.1 Pro. Are you joking ??? Nope, I wasn't. In the past, I was forced to "mix" some software, by merging different versions, using some files from older versions (like maps and dll library) and some files from the newer version (like .exe and .apk) Kind Regards, and Thank's again mate
