Hi everyone! Lately Windows 10 Pro has been shutting down very slow. I timed it and it took 1m32s to shut down completely. Also, the OS in on a 120GB Kingston SSD. Can anyone lend a helping in finding out why is this happening? Also, if more info is required let me know. Cheers!
Under windows anniversary last build 14393.223 , my rig shuts down is about 10 sec ( OS x 64 installed on Samsung SSD 128 go 840 pro) without any tweak nor clean install Maybe check programs running in background or scan for malwares?
I've noticed however that my RAM is constantly at 97% (out of 16GB) even if I'm not running anything. I'll do a malware scan see what that yields. EDIT: Scanned using Malwarebytes and nothing.. :| Any ideas/suggestions? Thanks in advance!
What does Task Manager (under the Users tab) say is using the memory? Mine is running at 30%-35% just sitting there. When your computer is idle is the CPU usage high also? My biggest memory hog is Cortana (37MB total) even though I disabled her.
I believe I might have figured out the issue - I disabled hybrid boot and it's now ok. Shutdown takes only 14s. After disabling hybrid boot mem usage is at 10%. Sorry, but I don't have the privilege to post images yet
