Any idea which update? I'm always been wary of this. Time was, if an update was described as some sort of feedback or customer satisfaction update, I generally hide it. Of course with 10 that's a bit more problematic and just one more reason our Windows installations have taken a back-of-the-bus seat in deference to other systems.
That’s really disconcerting. Did the update go smoothly or was there a glitch requiring resetting? I have my updates on automatic, there was one a couple of days ago, but my settings haven’t been changed. However, in view of this, I’ll be checking after each update. And I suppose a critical one will be the anniversary update that comes on August 2nd, if I remember correctly.
I just now checked my Windows 10 virtual machine. I have those updates and my feedback setting are still "Never" and "Basic" ... very interesting. My latest updates are dated 7/12 and 10 claims to be up-to-date as of right now.
It is common and not just privacy settings, that is why I apply my settings every day. It even restored Cortana (I will delete all users next time instead of deleting it).
