Windows 10 sucks when it comes down to storing updates specifically in C:\Windows\SoftwareDistribution\Download folder. I downloaded some 500MB update today and it updated, worked fine, etc. However, SoftwareDistribution\Downloads folder was empty and yet there was 500MB of free space reduction that would NOT improve even after Reset Base command. I don't have much space on drive C and it would not be a problem if Microsoft allocated update setup files for Windows 10 and Office 2016 is the appropriate directories during each and every update.

What now? Where am I supposed to find 500MB worth of update files?

Thanks, but these programs ASK what to search for. How the hell am I supposed to know file and folder names of whichever Windows Updates get downloaded???

EVERYTHING just shows me a ton of files and directories. How is it helpful in finding out which directories are the ones I should be looking at????

Run the built in Disk Cleanup utility and choose Clean up System Files. It will find everything.
