Good enough timeframe Anyways it doesn't really apply to anybody except enterprise users on the long term servicing branch The rest of us will be forced to download updates periodically It's hard to even imagine what technology will be like in 2025
Isn't it quite a bit early to talk about the end of something which has not been officially born yet?
I really don't like this - no control over updates. In Preview Builds I'd get all the updates for Office components I didn't have installed - installing. Eg: All the updates for Excel, Powerpoint etc even though I don't install or use them. In 8.1 I'd get offered them but could at least hide them.
Windows 10 is the last Windows version, but end of support is in 10 years? What then? Or is that like Windows 8 vs Windows 8.1 type thing?
Count me in how ironic: now they offer a free upgrade and I even got genuine licenses, but still I have to pirate it if I don't wanna be a victim of their featuritis.
I Agree, Paul. I hope it gets cancelled and Microsoft's stocks crash. The builds been archived for historic reasons much like Longhorn.
