So my girlfriend had windows 7. I changed the language to English but the primary language from the PC was always Chinese. I upgraded her to the Windows 10 Technical preview and everything went back to Chinese. Is it possible to do a fresh install of Windows 10 and set the primary and only language to English?
I was able to figure out how to change the language again and set it to primary and i also removed the Chinese language. im going to attempt to fresh pc clean install and hoping it allows me to choose the language. If I'm doing it wrong please let me know if I'm doing it correctly please let me know.
I have to let the setup finish first now... So what your saying is once it's back up... Add the English language, make it primary then change more sittings in region? From what I recall I had set all that to United States and English also already in Windows 7 and Windows 10. I'll look through it more once it's back up. So after I do that then I should do another fresh install?
I made it so everything is English even new users etc.. But will the install now also be English if I do another refresh clean install?
Use English ISO to install, then click Region and change Language for non-Unicode programs to China, or Hong Kong, or Taiwan(I don't know where you come from)
The accepted languages during an in place upgrade depends on what's written In HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Nls\Language Just just change the setup language value accordingly to the media you want to use 410 is EN-US 804 is PRC
