I am now on Win 8.1 and today I got this message. Did anyone else get this message? I am unable to download windows 10 upgrade. I left my PC idle for 2 hours and it downloaded nothing. $Windows.~BT folder is 140 mb. Software distribution is 2.8gb. In software distribution folder there is a folder with 3 files -- state, WindowsupdateBox, .tmp file which is 2.6 gb. I guess this is the windows 10 esd. I left my pc idle (nothing in background) and those windowsbt folder and software distribution folder remain locked on the same size. It's not downloading windows 10 anymore. So much for the hype and the day 1 install of windows 10. What should I do? i.imgur.com/81TriHZ.jpg
Clicking on Notify me when ready doesn't help either? Like it doesn't start the download or anything?
If nothing works, you can download the official Windows 10 ISO and update manually. Did you use any measures to change your IP, like VPN etc?
i got update when i used the command wuauclt.exe /updatenow ..but when it tried to install it gave error,so when i again checked for update it started so downloading from 46% ,,but later i read that error occurred because of time as the windows is not yet released,,now again download is at 90% ,if it gives error, those downloaded file will be stored?
It downloaded almost 6.6 GB, I get a message "We will inform you when we are done". 6-7 hours and still nothing. Should I upgrade manually? What about the key for installation/activation?
Did anyone see the balloon yet? No notification but files have landed on my machines just yesterday. They messed it ... hahaha

My internet is fine. Windows update is working in control panel. Can I use my win 8.1 key to activate manually installed Windows 10 from ISO?
