    Hi all

I have a Lenovo Yoga 5G 14Q8CX05 Snapdragon 8CX Arm powered laptop, it comes with Windows 11 Home.

I'd like to switch from Windows 11 Home edition to either Professional or Enterprise edition, my plan was to create a custom USB installation with the required ARM64 drivers injected into it.

I used DISM to export the drivers from Lenovo's bloat version of Windows 11 Home and successfully injected them into the relevant WIM files. Unfortunately I keep getting not keyboard/trackpad/mouse input, obviously the drivers are not being loaded correctly.

I don't know if I am meant to inject the drivers into the PE WIM file or the Setup WIM file...has anyone got any experience with building ARM64 versions of Windows? I used Microsoft's official ARM64 ISO of Windows 11, unfortunately unlike the x64 version it lacks the basic drivers to make your keyboard and trackpad working.

If I cannot get a custom USB to perform a clean bloat free install I was hoping to convert the preinstalled version of Windows 11 Home to either Professional or Enterprise edition.

What's the easiest way to switch between editions these days?

    Hi,

massgrave has tools to switch the Windows edition without reinstall, by installing the generic retail product key.

Backup the HDD image, and give it a shot.

    My two cents.

hey, darkhalf, i have 2 of the ms surface arm64 devices, a surface pro, and then the surface laptop 7… and i am going thru the arm64 drivers hunt myself… loading an os onto the arm64 devices can be a chore, because it will stop in the middle of the install and say ' drivers not found '… and not even give you a clue about what drivers and/or for what the drivers are used for… and, there are not that many arm64 devices around yet, so we may have to extract the drivers from the install media, and just hope and pray we have the right ones… each time… some of my win arm64 drivers may help you with your lenovo.. i will let you know what i discover…
