Hi, Is there an actual release of Windows 11? There's videos on YouTube with Windows 11 downloads and Skin Packs. I read that there will be no Windows 11. So should I download these? Skin Pack? I found a Windows 11 Concept? Are these just regular themes? Please reply. Thanks
Yes while they keep losing market share due to the dwindling PC platform, fire the current CEO, and come up with the next crazy idea in a futile attempt to increase revenue. Then they finally go out with a whimper and the world is a better place for it. So yeah it's the last Windows OS.
Windows 10 as 'the final version of Windows' is marketing. Microsoft don't know what's going to be relevant in the future, and don't know what approach the next CEO of Microsoft is going to choose. Windows 10's reputation keeps worsening, too. It might be desirable for Microsoft at some point to distance itself from Windows 10. The current Windows 10 update model is unsustainable, and with the majority of Microsoft's testing engineers fired by Nadella Windows is falling apart at the seams. Who knows what might happen in the future.
I would say MS Windows or Windows .. I am tired of # of Version, I would say simple "Windows" (but it will show bulit # on it..)
Microsoft has speculated on what they have imagined for the future Ms Windows and where they think Windows 10 is leading but as it stands at this time is Windows 10 still remains to be the last release to manufacture build of windows. Anything else like skins of fore say Windows 11 and other types of skins are just skins and wishful thinking.
I wholly agree with this as made evident by the scatterbrain approach to Windows 10. It's all over the place with things going in different directions. When is confusion a sustainable approach. BG was a hero compared to this current CEO.
In which way is Windows 10 a sexy name? 10 doesn't even mean anything since it's basically only the build number that counts now. They should've dropped the version number from the marketing name and just call it Windows. And instead of that weird versioning scheme they've got in place now (1803, 1809, 1903...), I'd prefer proper version numbers on the internals. Like 10.1, 10.2, 10.x... even if that looks a little Apple-esque. Not to speak of those stupid update brandings in the past, like Anniversary Update, Creators Update... I mean, what for? It doesn't tell those who care about the version number what it means at a glance. But that's what happens if you hand over the captain's hat to the business guys in sort of an unconditional surrender.
