I have got windows 2008 Enterprise edition (my office stuff)... now I have some problem with my laptop , I want to format it and reinstall...but what about the activation... can I backup the acivation and reinstall 2008 without activating it again..
if its slic/slc activated yes, get the vista activation backup tool(google for it) you can use it to restore your activation without much effort. if not, well ur only hope is to copy the tokens.dat and hope that works :/
Tried using ABR.... but only a single key file was caputred and even the key dispalyed was wrong.. As AshenTech suggested , now I think I need to check with tokens.dat
Click - Start - Run -> services.msc Ofcourse it will work on Server 2008 R2 too. But the name of the service is different, Software Protection Service (SPP)
I am sorry, but if you do not know that, then maybe you should not be attempting anything more... (before you learn) Like me asking what the controls in the Space Shuttle are, as I would like to fly it sebus
