Hello, I tried searching the forums before asking, so I apologize if the answer is already out there... Does anyone have a Windows 7 Ultimate iso (32, 64 or both) that has all the updates already slipstreamed into it? I did this myself back when I did IT full time (including newer drivers), but it's been years. I was hoping the experts here could either point me to an iso that's already been prepared. I have legit keys I purchased and I'm not looking for any hacks - Just Windows 7 pre-updated. If that's not possible, is there a single rollup installation I can perform after Windows 7's installed? I vaguely remember Microsoft releasing something like that in 2019, but I never downloaded it. Plus, I assume any community-made ones would be more complete anyway. Thanks in advance for any help!
Thank so much for taking the time to link me to those. I gotta admit though, I forgot how to do all this stuff - I spent the last half hour reading those links and I'm still not quite sure what's the best option. It's embarrassing, as I used to be one of the people writing these guides back in the XP and Windows 7 days...including embedded OS'! ;( I tried installing with a official Win 7 SP1 disc, then downloaded one of the updaters from the links above and it failed to run on the Win 7 machine. I guess in my old age, I need a "for dummies" version of this - Is there just a single file or script I can run on the Win 7 machine after installing (with the NIC drivers installed of course)? Or has someone posted their version of an iso that's already had everything in those posts pre-integrated?
Use this, download the full tool zip, extract it and put in the win 7 ultimate ISO into the legacy source folder and run the legacy script, select your settings and sit back till the Uptodate ISO is created.
So, for the scenario that I install a basic Win7SP1 .iso: - Install windows - Install NIC driver (and confirm it connects to the internet) - Extract the zip to the desktop - Run "SiMPLiX.bat" That's it?
The file "SiMPLiX_AiO_ISO_Full_Tool_2_9_21.12.15_F.zip" does not contain a "SiMPLiX.exe" file. Did I download the wrong file?
I'm sorry, but the answers are hard to follow without any context. I'd be happy to help create documentation that walks beginners through this after I'm done, but I can't get either scenario working. - What is "normal Simplix"? Is this a single file that runs and installs drivers and updates? And where is that exact file? - I'm still not able to create an .iso that works.
