I ran into the same thing. Another problem that popped up with ie9 beta is the display window in Live Mail is greyish until you click in the window. IE9 beta has a lot of other little quirks also, that is why it is called beta.

IE 9 has been a total NO NO for me...MSN's own MSN Games online is not compatible with it  and the send feedback thing doesn't work

I have a long list of bugs in the IE9 beta. Its one of the buggiest apps I have used in recent memory. It may be in beta, but there is a LOT of work to get this up to standard.

One of the most annoying bugs is resuming incomplete downloads - IE just crashes - every single time

First of all, I hate the way downloads are managed.

This beta sounds like an ALPHA to me, wayy too far away from being ready for a final release :(

That is why it is scheduled for 9 months from now for release, which will probably slip to be even longer...

heh. you are lucky to even get to download something :)

95% of time I start IE9 it updates only title bar but loads only white screen for me. Randomly after couple restarts it may actually load the page... Addressbar works sometimes but sometimes can navigate only via links (google the page you need).

Well. I don't really care. I used IE only for win update anyways (back then when it was used via browser). Other browsers work fine so can't be bothered to downgrade back to IE8
