Hello, I know this problem has been posted countless times, but I can't seem to find proper solution. After using my 3 rearms for Windows 7 Ultimate Edition 64 bit, I wanted to use your Windows Loader. But it says unsupported partition table. I do know that my HDD is UEFI and I don't want to format it to MBR. I have a lot of data that I don't want to lose. I am looking for an effective solution, and I am even capable of flashing my BIOS with a proper guide of course. Thanks!
I tried the WithSLIC injector and it didn't work...any ideas before trying to flash the BIOS? Also after I get a BIOS mod what else can I do? Later edit: after using the WAT tool I managed to fix this awful thing. Still thanks for the help and the fast response!
Narrrr Mod ya BIOS and do things properly. What board have you got. Have you got or plan to install a large 4TB drive ? Is this why you dont want to convert your OS drive to MBR ?
My motherboard model is Asus x550C Series, I don't want to install a large 4TB drive (lol I can't afford anything close to that), and how can I convert JUST my OS drive to MBR? Just that drive, not the other two where I have some pretty large data, which I can't afford to lose because they're way too hard too recover.
Your statements are confusing are you saying you have three hard drives or one hard drive with three partitions ?
I believe we are talking Asus laptop. I thought at first you had a PC. Also that lappy comes with Windows 8 pre-installed. So I am guessing those drives you have important data on are external hard drives in a caddy. So you must have taken off Win 8 and installed Win 7. To convert the drive to MBR allowing Daz's loader to work you would have to remove the partitions \ volumes from the drive, use DISKPART to convert the drive to MBR ( this would be done just prior to installing Win 7 ) Install Win 7 and use Daz's loader. I would forget about modding the laptop BIOS. But converting to MBR is the only way to get Daz's loader to work. So this means saving all the data on the OS drive and re-installing Win 7.
I am really sorry for the confusion. I should have said chipset not motherboard. I was trying to avoid confusion, but still I lacked attention. Tomorrow I'll try Tito's solution.
Alright, I did it. Now how do I know that it actually worked? Also do I have to run the Bios mod every time I install Windows 7?
Glad you got it working. What did you use to activate i,e, did you use Daz loader to install serial number and certificate or did you do it manually ? This is a forum the more feed back we get the better it is also helps out other members.
According to Tito this is permanent SLIC 2.1 mod so if bios update is available he should just be able to reflash and SLIC 2.1 will remain
