Hi there, Is it possible to remove or 'unlock' a BIOS password? I am trying to help a friend with getting this done. Not sure what info I need to provide or if it is even possible...It's a Toshiba Laptop, and I really don't know how he got a password lock on there. (I see solutions for other O/S not 7) Thanks in advance Desp.
Read the blog thoroughly... bios and os passwords are separate things!! What type of bios do u have?? What is the error message displayed, when u enter consequent 3 wrong passwords??
Thanks again for the responses so far. Ok - some more details as requested: - It's a Toshiba Satellite 1135-s155 - It's a Pheonix BIOS - hope that answers your question Tito - not sure if there are other specifics required - The msg he gets when trying the wrong password 3 times in a row on the BIOS is "1029". However he can't be sure as the msg disappears quickly Hope this is useful...thanks again for your time. Desp.
LOL - ok will tell him to keep trying. He's older so his eyes may not be fast like ours....I guess there is no way to 'freeze' the msg. Will advise if he can manage it.
