What is the point in creating yet another thread with download links ? There are already a few threads there in the Win7 section...
It says Evaulation Copy because he must have used an activation patch, which would make it expire. I can confirm that it doesn't say that when you don't activate it.
Maybe it was without the time bomb before. Have you used an activator and 'frankenbuilt' your OS? TssTssTss. All 7600 versions don't have a timebomb..... Edit: Same thoughts, I'll let open here......
My guess is that the person activated it with pkconfig and token files from the release candidate and an RC serial, thus changing it to evaluation mode. I got tired of my 7600 '16384 build telling me that it was not genuine, so I activated via the frankenbuild method, thus changing it to evaluation. Then I used the watermark removal patch, and now I'm good for a year, or until genuine RTM, whichever comes first.
An unactivated Vista isn't genuine???? What about the initial grace period? Why cripple an OS? One update from M$ and Frankenstein is dead humm Frankenbuild....
Apparently. Every time I rebooted, the message went away, only to return. I tried turning of WU, but made no difference. Finally "activating" made non-genuine messages go away.
