now i know this is going to sound incredibly stupid but iv made a major mistake and compressed my C: drive instead of my X: drive and now i cant boot up it just keeps telling me to hit ctrl alt del which in turn restarts the comp and yet again low and behold it says it again iv tried throwing in the boot rom to click repair but it doesnt work and if tried booting from a usb but still no go any help ? ok so iv now reinstalled windows iv gone into the bios and made it so that is boots from rom yet after the install it restarted and BAM said the same think drive compressed crtl alt del to restart
Bro.. apparently he means.. if you have two PCs currently.. then unplug your hard drive (HDD) and connect it to the second pc (machine).. Then simplely.. decompress it..
how wouldi manage that i cant do anything i allready tried putting in the windows rom and the same message still comes up i cant do anything
You mean your DVD drive is not booting the Install DVD either. Go into your BIOS and check your boot order. Also sounds like the error I get when I leave a blank USB drive in the machine, (or Floppy Disk from back in the olden days)
yea i looked for a usb and iv disabled my floppy drive but how do i change the boot sequence in the bios ?
ok so iv now reinstalled windows iv gone into the bios and made it so that is boots from rom yet after the install it restarted and BAM said the same think drive compressed crtl alt del to restart
Dumb question - Did you delete the partition, or did you re-install using the already compressed partition. Best bet is to delete all partitions on the drive, if it still happens after that, I not sure what to tell you.
no not a dymb question haha i think i forgot to do a new partition but i dont htink it gave me the option :S
