    Hi,

I have both Windows 7 SPI and Windows 7 RTM, I own a VAIO Laptop which came with Windows 7 Home Premium. The problem is that the Laptop was purchased in UK and has UK Keyboard. I removed the HDD and installed it with a SSD and fresh Windows 7 Ultimate installation.

I need assistance in configuring Windows 7 Ultimate to have en-uk as the defualt language and keyboard. Any input on which language pack I can download and how do I go about setting it as default in the Windows 7 Ultimate ISO

    Thank you.

You can use just change the keyboard and location settings under Control Panel

    Control Panel (Category View)
    Under "Clock, Language, and Region"
Click on "Change keyboards or other input methods"

Control Panel (Classic / Icons View)
    Click on "Region and Language"

Note: en-gb = English (United Kingdom)

I'm aware of those options I want to make it default during installation from DVD the way it shows en-us as default.

    Thank you

You need to Create a Unattended Answer File and put it i the root of the disc

I would guess that the file lang.ini might have something to do with it?

Use autounattend.xml file for that or use dism to set defaultskusettings or seperately, that should work for you.

    Its EN-GB for the UK.

    Code:
                <InputLocale>en-GB</InputLocale>
                <SystemLocale>en-GB</SystemLocale>
                <UILanguage>en-GB</UILanguage>
                <UILanguageFallback></UILanguageFallback>
                <UserLocale>en-GB</UserLocale>
