hello guys!, i finally manage to get W7 installed onto my PC, BUT whenever i boot the whole system either FREEZES or RESTARTS? why is this happening? I cant manage to anything.. eager to get this machine going, please help me.. thx!
well first things first you should probably pop in your win 7 rom and click the repair button which should fix any minor problems that might have happened during the original install
We are also able to magically know everything about your computer and things so of course please don't give us any other information that might help us!
sorry bout that, mobo: MSI p55 gd-65 processor: i5 ram: corsair 1600 mhz psu: corsair 650W hard drive:WD 500 GB I did try to repair it, but even there it freezes? what shall i do? :S
Your hardware is to old and to slow! Check your BIOS settings, and load default settings, or even "safe" settings, and retry. Look for a BIOS update. Remove all PCI cards and other components that are not absolutely necessary for system start. Check all cables, disconnect and reconnect them Check RAM with memtest. tbc
I tried loading everthing back to default and stuff, nothing working... Im trying on W7 7600 RTM x64 Im on 4 GIGs of ram
Did you use an untouched ISO or original DVD? There are some bogus ISO's floating around that will cause problems.
It's not "or" as an exclusive, like "either or", it's "or" as an inclusive, as in "one of these". Example: User names must contain letters or numbers. That means you can use letters, numbers or (inclusive) letters + numbers, not letters exclusively or (exclusive) numbers exclusively.
Not quite the same, nice to see you decided to chime in with absolutely nothing to contribute. The untouched ISO's are MSDN releases and each one is specific to a version of windows, to access the other versions you delete the ei.cfg. The original DVD is exactly that, the retail DVD and now that you can buy them off of Ebay I included that in the question (available from guys selling their signature edition DVD's which are retail DVD's). EDIT: after reading TWIZ's response I should have left it at that, he is a much more adept smart @$$ than I.
