    Hi there.

I have a Lenovo Notebook and the Lenovo Windows 7 Home Premium Recovery DVD.

However I would like to install the 64 bit version of it. I believe the key and license is the same for 32 or 64.

I would like to know if there is a way to substitute certain file on My dvd so I install the 64 bit version.

    Thanks.

No you cannot, you must completely do a reinstall. That would be nice though if you could switch from x32 to x64 like that with a key like WAU but I don't think that is possible.

Yeah -obviously he has to instal the 64 bit OS - but then he can simply insert the cert and key without having to rely on some third party tool which he may have obtained from some contaminated warez site.

It is useful to learn some of the ins and outs of these things so you can dig yourself out of a hole in case you have some breakdown rather than rely on some tool or crying help here - especially if your net connection goes down.

Heaps of people relied on those Frankenbuild tools and look where that got them.

Backup your oem data (cert+key) with tool available here on MDL and after installing 64Bit just restore it.
