Windows 7 is finally RTM. So says a major MS Partnet on twitter

    Yeah i think it has been released Just MS not sayin it yet , i know we got it at work (i work for lenovo)

    @smakked what is the build number for the rtm release at your work ?

    Havent got a build number sorry, will get it when i go back to work in a few days, on my days off, but i was told by our Country Spec that hey are workign with it now.

    cool. Like most people have said though, RTM or not you will still be able to do an in-place upgrade from 71xx+ to RTM (whatever version ends up being final), so just grab a copy of 7600 if you want it that badly and can't wait for check sums or MS confirmation, and if it is the real deal you don't have to worry, if it is not then when the real deal comes out then just upgrade.

    If this is RTM, could we able to select the version of Win7 we want to install? or is it still Ultimate only?

    EI.CFG File

    I might be wrong but once that file is removed shouldn't it be the Finally RTM :) ?. Or are they Gonna follow suit like they DID with Vista.

    And I just checked my Vista RTM Dic no EI.CFG File .


    Its still in the 7600.16384.090710-1945 build, I noticed.

    smakked, don't risk your job or anything, but what we really want is the SLIC, oem-cert and product keys. :)

    and the iso's too of course
