    Hey,

I downloaded a legit copy of the Windows 7 Ultimate (the hashes match). However, when I tried burning the image with Roxio, right when it was finished burning it gave me an error at the end ("There was an error during the process, please insert a new disc and try again". I don't get why its not burning it properly. One reason could be that the disc I'm burning it to is a DVD + RW, which has been erased a couple of times. Its not just this Windows 7 Ultimate ISO, other ISO's of different versions of Windows 7 give me the same error. If anyone could help me out that would be great. Thanks.

Maybe your Burner is dying, any other issue with that drive? Have you tried another drive?

I've hardly used my burner, its been used on a yearly basis, like last year I burnt 4 backup discs, and the year before that the same thing. I hope its not dying lol. It reads and writes other discs fine. I'll try getting a new disc and see what happens, if not then :(

Have you tried UltraISO? Or is that what you meant to say? UltraISO worked for me after a few failed alternatives.

It could be that the module that tells it to write to DVD + RW is going out. This can make it not burn to those specific type but still works with other types. My old drive stopped reading CD-R disks but still worked fine with DVD-R disks. I was then told that my drive was going bad that is why. BTW most standard drives are not too expensive. I bought a Mega Format LG drive for 50 USD and it works perfectly.

Yeah I'm going to try Ultra ISO, if not then a new DVD disc, and if not then a new drive. Thanks for the help. :)

Don't believe in what the manufacturers say how many times a DVD can be R/W. My experience with a couple of good brand names can only be re-used for five or six times on average, some are even shorter. I do think your dvd is dead!!!:cool:
