Cannot get any audio in Media Center with the following clip Properties:
    Stream type: MPEG-2 Program
    Video: MPEG-2 (480x576, 25.00 fps)
Audio: MPEG Layer II (48.0 kHz, Stereo)

But plays ok in Windows Media Player.

When trying to play this next clip Media Center gives the following error "Windows Media Center Cannot Open this file".

    Stream type: MPEG-2 Program
    Video: MPEG-2 (480x576, 25.00 fps)
Audio: MPEG Layer II (44.0 kHz, Stereo)

But this clip also plays fine in Windows Media PLayer.

Are the Windows codecs NOT common to both Windows Media Center AND Windows Media Player?

I thought both applications shared the same video/audio codecs.

Any help would be much apreciated. :)

    Thanks PrEzi for the info.

Does this mean that by subsituting MS codecs by 3rd party ones, these will still work with Windows Media Center?

    Thanks. :)
