    Need info,

Version of windows 7, model of laptop, model of dvd drive. What software are you trying to view DVD's with.

Does your drive recognise your windows7 dvd, can you browse the files on the disk?

Your DVD drive is dirty or possibly dying.
My Pioneer DVR-160D drive (many years old) stopped reading DVDs completely and would only read CDs. I blew out the dust and it started reading some DVDs again. Cleaned it with a DVD Cleaning kit and it would read all DVDs.
A few years later, it's having trouble reading some DVDs again.

Wow, first post of yours in days that didn't have the words F**k and Stunna in it. Just kidding.

Try browsing a DVD (movie disk is fine, should see two folders).

Try playing the DVD in windows media player (or third party dvd decoder).
If you are only having problems with ANYDVD then your drive may be fine, close anydvd and try watching a movie or using a data dvd to see if the drive is actually reading and seeing files.

Did you try to clean it?
