    Hi all,
I plan to install win7 on the new iMacs that has just been released.
I'll order one in 2-3 days
I downloaded thee .iso image, but I'm a little bit confused about the hack on how to activate it. I understood that the crack has a hardware involvement which could be an issue with an iMac.
As these machines haven't been shipped yet, I don't know if you can help me.

My problem is all about the crack, I really don't understand how it works,
    either if it'll work.
    Thank you for helping me,

    Jord534

PS : I downloaded the Windows 7 Ultimate 64 Bits RTC French iso

If you use a biosmod you indeed chenge your hardware, but whit a loader its all safe, it's just software.
And don't worry of accidentally flashing your bios, cause you can't do that accidentally. So every programm here is safe.

Yeah, Macs are using an EFI-that was from what I thought the problem.
But you say I can hacktivate it by software cr**king some files.
I'll make it that way I think.
But with that softmod, will it pass the WGA ?

wouldn't it be easier to use vmware fusion or bootcamp (unless that only works for xp)? I highly doubt any crack, software or hardware based, is going to work. The BIOSes are completely different. Bootloaders are completely different. Kernels are completely different.

    Correct me if I'm wrong.

Installing 7 on MAC is simply not natural, if you know what I mean.
    :)

Get a decent PC, for money you must invest in MAC, you can always get one decent x64 configuration.

I figured as much but in this forum it is hard to tell with some people.
I asked before I was going to make any smart ass remark if you were going to just get a Mac for just the hardware aspect.

Hope the dual boot works out for the better.
Let us know if you complete it and how it functions.

I just want to dual boot because of gaming on Windows and I find 7 really convenient !
