Hi, I'm new here. I am currently downloading Windows 8 Release Preview, and was wondering if I should install it beside Windows 7, or simply continue to use Windows 7 until Windows 8 comes out in retail version? Kind Regards Skull Kid
Who knows how long it'll actually take for the RTM to leak, and even after it leaks, how long it'll be before/if it's able to be activated freely.
Don't waste your time for installing the Release Preview as main OS right now. The RTM version is pretty close and can come this week or next week, and this one will be leaked by Winunleaked and other people who got access to the builds. However, the RTM is not automatic activated so you will be running a 30 day trail for some time, but I'm pretty sure that a activation tool will be released inside these 30 days. Else if you have access to MSDN then you can get a key from there in August. Short said; No, wait for RTM.
I don't understand what were you doing when the DP/CP/RP were released about since months ago. Just wait for the Final RTM which is expected in 2 weeks time. Cheers
Windows 8 RTM will available before end of this Month. and about Activation you'll have 30 days trial and sure there will be a chance to rearm until the great DAZ made the useful crack.
True. But the news with a fixed release date is something you won't come up if you got lot of more testing/bugs to complete. Also I have heard from various sources with good information before of a "Big News" coming today and a screenshot of an iso download. So yea, let's wait for more information of them and hope they aren't teasing us with this one. And to be serious, teasing with a build like RTM is asking for flame war.
...when the rumor becomes a fact...believe it. When I have Win8 RTM on my machine, it will be "here", not a moment sooner...
as soon as Ms un officialy allow RTM download, sooner they have that crap tested "on field" to better improve stability and drivers.... Let's see in few days time
