thanks for the nice contributions but to activate it, i think we need a MAK key (and those are 1 time only usually i think) : )

 

MAK = Multiple Activation Key. So no it's not a 1 time key >.> Retail keys are one timers.

 

hmmmm, so you're saying the key i see on my msdnaa site is for all in my school ? The instructions said MAK or KMS. I was just thinking i wouldnt use KMS since i don't live there.

 

The keys given through MSDNAA (ie the legit ones) are retail keys.

What hichamontreal was saying is that as this is the pro version, KMS keys will work for non-legit activation.

 

sign up for IEEE student edition I think its $19 you will get access to MSDNAA and you get x64 and x32 key for $19. What a deal!

does it expire or do we have to pay the dues and reactivate it again? i have never seen anything like a 6 months key before so i believe the key works forever and we can renew membership only if we want to
