Thanks..Normally you can rearm 3 times (120 days) but this will continue rearming after 3 times automatically or i have to run this tweak again after 3 times ??
sounds good. I'll have a look at it.. I take it you can just keep re arming windows every 30 days with no limitation on how many times it can be done ?
Being a WinXP user for years, and not touching Vista due to all the known issues with it, Win7 activation is totally new ground for me: I was under the impression that, while you can rearm WinVista/Win7 a certain number of times, you could only reset the counter once? Somebody correct me if I'm wrong, but I'm a little skeptical that by using this you could, in theory, rearm Win7 forever and never worry about true activation. Any advice is appreciated. --DKnight
You can use it for 30 days after installing and then theoretically 3 times more resulting in 120 days of 'free' version. I'm a little bit skeptical with the infinite rearm idea (never worked for me correctly in vista, but it was a long time ago). Anyway - the 120 days limit will be more than enough for us to activate it using OEM/SLP activation method.
Yeah, that's what I was thinking too, I just wanted to be sure. I have a hard time believing that infinite rearm is possible. Not even MS would slip up that much. I'm taking it really slow in reformatting/installing Win7 atm, til Activation/Keygen/etc issues are resolved, in one fashion or another. Thanks for the response. --DKnight
Do not use Activators - they really do not work - they 'activate' your Win7 build by using some RC-files resulting in a frankenbuild (mix of RC and RTM files) and bring back the timebomb that exists in every RC build. No real keygen have surfaced for Vista, no real will surface for Win7. The best method is to mod the bios with SLIC 2.1 and use an OEM certificate + key. Some Win7 loaders based on the same OEM method will surface for sure, but all except a bios mod can be easly blacklisted/disabled by MS. The most bulletproof is the bios mod.
Yeah. Replacing RTM files with Beta/RC versions isn't just buggy, but easy for MS to counter, I agree. I prefer safer methods. I always wondered why a real WinVista keygen was never invented. WinXP saw a number of keygens, some still working today. I just figured it would take time, but no dice, sadly. :nods: yup, yup. My current problem is that, even if I wanted to run Vista until Win7 bios mods get off the ground, I cant find a modded bios for my current mobo. ASUS M2N-SLI (not the "-E" or "Deluxe" version, as listed most everywhere on the net) It's the base model in this series, and the "-E" and "Deluxe" are more expensive and used more widely, thus why it's discussed so infrequently. My hope is that once the Win7 Bios-Mod scene gets off the ground, that I can find a patch for my M2N-SLI bios. Until then, Win7 stays in VMware. --DKnight
do not click the GOLD cuz it's a fake. After I clicked it, my browser suddenly change n infected by viruses!!!
If the bios is modded correctly then it will work. Not yet for Win7 (cause we are missing certs and keys) but it will. The most difficult ones are Insyde bios mods, dells and phoenix bioses. If you own Award or AMI bios then the chance of success is nearly 100%.
No problem canouna - glad I could help Well a loader for Win7 will arrive quicker than for Vista since the only change it needs is the SLIC table and certs+keys. The whole 'infrastructure' of the loader is already done so I don't think it will be a problem.
No, he talked about already removed posts from a (possibly) banned user that posted useless crap. I didn't test the rearm method posted in the first post, but I assume it's clean since nobody has posted a warning.
