Windows 7 RTM is the same as Windows 7, which is in stores?

    But I do not understand, does this not happen with Windows Vista, right?

    RTM is the same as the Retail one, ok?
    Vista was another history, and now is just a history to be forgotten.:D

    RTM was the software when it was "released to manufacturing."

    And what's out today has now been "manufactured."

    The only difference is it's now pre-installed on computers, and/or on discs and in boxes.

    Yes, Vista = just a bad footnote in OS history. May she RIP (rest in peace).:D
